Sunday once again

Went to an arts fair yesterday where there werent really any ARTS at all, but there were definitely food trucks! FOOOOOOOOOODDDD

CREEP STATUS

Baby Abuelito......

All in all, the heat was too much for the hot food. I felt like dying and wished that it could of been a cooler day in Miami... I would of definitely enjoyed the food a lot more.

Some pics of the garden:

Transplanted a baby aloe..

Basil has to be, my favorite herb. Ever.

Tonight I think I may go home and start a new pickle batch.. lets see what happens.

I cant wait for fall..

I understand that there really isnt such thing as "fall" in Miami.. at least not until way way later in the year (something others would call .. winter.) but just the thought of the wind picking up and the breeze getting cooler makes me feel all warm and ridiculous inside.
With that thought in mind.... I purchased some more seeds today. I am intent on growing food, no matter how small the apartment space I have! Oh yea.. and threw in some flowers for good measure.

Does anyone have any efficient and clever potting ideas? Im very limited with space and have begun to accept vertical gardening.. wondering what else and how else I can get more plants in....

Mild Update

Was Rockin this little number yesterday...

With this fucking cool belt:

Purchased that belt many years ago with a dear friend of mine in some secluded mysterious chinese store... Pretty magical if I do say so myself...

Lots of rain and heat lately.. and here these guys appeared in one of my pots:

They continue to die and grow again, each time looking slightly different.. Strange.
Here are a couple of pictures of my new plants purchased over the weekend for my backyard patio:

Hope to really enjoy the apartment this weekend.. maybe I can get over to the Home Depot at some point and purchase some nice things. Jon will be back soon and then I will be all scatter brained again. :)

Forever 21 now has maternity!

Wow! Forever 21 now offers maternity clothing! Lots of cute tops, stretchy pants and leggings, and (baby?) bags! I cant wait to be that lady by the way. Im playing the lottery now.. if I win..BAREFOOT AND PREGNANT HERE I COME! :D

In other news, I have been so intimidatingly busy, with tattooing and otherwise. Its drawing drawing drawing, tattooing tattooing, and OH! I have to do laundry and clean the floor and cook dinner AND dont forget to put the dishes in the dishwasher!
I know what you must be thinking.. where is Jon through all of this? Well, hes at work, and playing Call of Duty on the couch. Fuck!

Now with these new found responsibilities, I have not been able to purchase my usual Forever 21 or sephora orders.. I am sad..  very sad..
I can however, stare at my computer screen at all the cute new shit thats been out there!

I have also planted some seeds and so I begin the journey that is gardening in the new apartment. Too bad its all container gardening :(

Frangipani, pretty yellow flowers, and herbs in a pot.. More images to come. Maybe tomorrow morning? I will update a bit more often now.. especially now that my friend Michelle has started blogging more.. its gets me excited .. Check out her blog!

Some Pictures Before Work

Here are some scallions that I had purchased to eat, but never got around to em. I decided to place them in a cup of water and over the course of a couple of days- they grew some new roots so i decided to plant them. Never tried this method before but I have read about some people who have and turned out growing SUPER MEGA CRAZY SCALLIONS. I hope they get to that extreme level...

BTW: Did you know that you can eat the flowers of impatiens? Seems like grandma's favorite flowers are a bit more useful then I thought.
